An exhibit “diving into” the history of outdoor recreation on the Olympic Peninsula – from hiking, skiing, and fishing to soaking in hot springs, the Peninsula truly has everything to offer those who enjoy the great outdoors! This show features unique artifacts and artwork from the Center’s collections, as well as previously unpublished photographs of the Olympic backcountry by amateur photographers and bothers Ray and Roy McClinton.

Surf, Skate, & Snow, explores the dynamic intersection of sport, design, and creative placemaking in harmony with the natural landscape. This exhibit showcases the work of regional and national artists, past and present who have drawn inspiration from the connected movement and reverence for the land that unfolds from these activities. From the artistic legacy of Esther Webster, the founder of the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center, who was a trailblazer in the early ski culture of the region, to those current artists using innovative mixed media design and eco-friendly experimental techniques to develop functional and inspiring works of art, their collective body of work reflects a shared value for the exhilarating ways our bodies and minds can move in harmony with our environment.
Hidden Worlds- Solo Exhibit with Jennifer Angus

An immersive exhibition by Madison-based artist Jennifer Angus that transforms the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center into a living tapestry of nature, using preserved insect specimens to create intricate patterns that dance across the walls. Through her art, she reveals both the delicate beauty and the fragility of our ecosystem, offering a thoughtful reflection on our relations with the natural world.
Each carefully composed piece invites the viewer to explore the hidden complexity of the insect world, where forms of nature intersect with the art of pattern-making. As the room is filled with these meticulously crafted designs, we are reminded of the essential roles that even the smallest of creatures play in sustaining life on Earth.
Cancer Sticks: Corruption of Sacred Tabacco

Peninsula College is excited to welcome back sculptor and Cherokee Nation citizen, Karen Sixkiller, for her solo art exhibit, Cancer Sticks: Corruption of Sacred Tobacco, which sparks conversation and challenges perspectives. Sixkiller's award winning ‘Cancer Sticks'; feature eight beaded trompe-l'œil cigarettes each in their own ceramic ashtray and the 'Un-American Spirit' beaded necklace as well as new sculptural work in beads, bronze, and ceramic. Sixkiller's meticulous artistry offers a unique Native perspective on the use and abuse of tobacco.
