Kyle Zimmerman
Uptown Arts Coordinator | Port Angeles Fine Arts Center
Kyle is the CEO and Creative Director at 123°W Design Collective, an engineering and architectural design firm based out of The Hub in Port Angeles. As Design Coordinator for the Uptown Arts District, Kyle uses his experience in complex project management to facilitate a collaborative process with the other partners to create a community-focused design plan. As a continuous tinkerer, Kyle is constantly testing and applying new digital solutions for the art and design world including immersive augmented reality experiences, digital twins, and virtual tours. On good snow days, you’ll find Kyle hiking in the backcountry with a splitboard and a PBJ sandwich.
Karyn Bocko
Marketing and Communications Manager | North Olympic Library System
Karyn holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, and a master’s degree in art history and museum studies from the University of Denver. Her career has been dedicated to working with community organizations and supporting access to creative experiences. She is proud to live and work in the Uptown Arts District.
Barb Frederick
Board Member | Port Angeles Community Players
Barbara Frederick is a board member of the Port Angeles Community Players (PACP). For over 70 years, PACP have brought creative opportunities and entertainment to area residents and visitors alike. Since 1952, the dedicated volunteers of the PACP have presented a great variety of stage productions for the enjoyment of the community. Through dedicated community effort, the Port Angeles Community Playhouse, located on Lauridsen Blvd., became a reality in 1971. They have celebrated theater by staging over 350 musicals, comedies and dramas for more than 100,000 patrons. Productions have involved hundreds of community members as actors, directors, set designers, stage crews, ushers, graphic designers, box office personnel and other vital jobs.
Noah Glaude
Executive Director | North Olympic Library System
Noah moved to Port Angeles in 2011 when he began working for the North Olympic Library System. Since then, he has filled several positions at the Library, eventually becoming the Executive Director in July 2020. Noah’s career in libraries began at the University of Washington, where he also received his bachelor's degree and an Executive Master of Public Administration.
Kari Chance
Executive Director | Juan De Fuca Foundation for the Arts
Kari Chance is the Executive Director of the Juan de Fuca Foundation for the Arts (JFFA). JFFA offers Port Angeles, Sequim, and the entire North Olympic Peninsula of Washington a myriad of performances, events, and educational programs for all ages of ARTS lovers. JFFA presents programs of diverse arts disciplines including visual, musical, theatre, dance, literary, comedic and much more. JFFA is supported by a passionate board of directors, dedicated staff, tireless volunteers, generous sponsors and invaluable community partners. Kari grew up in Port Angeles and enjoys the transformation of art and culture being added to the community.
Christine Loewe
Executive Director | Port Angeles Fine Arts Center
Christine Loewe has more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership including serving remotely as the Director of Communications for the Volunteer Center of Santa Cruz County for 10 years while living in Port Angeles with her two children and husband. Loewe brings her expertise in communications, marketing and community engagement to the Executive Director role at the Port Angeles Fine Art Center. Additionally she brings her deep commitment to the local community and youth enrichment. Loewe currently serves as a Port Angeles Chamber Board member, City of Port Angeles LTAX Committee member, and she chairs the YMCA Spirit of Team Watson Grant Committee. She additionally volunteers with the PASD as the Franklin School Garden Coordinator.
Michelle Olsen
Assistant Superintendent | Port Angeles School District
Michelle moved to Port Angeles in 2002 when she began working for the Port Angeles School District as the principal at Jefferson Elementary. In 2012 she became the principal at Roosevelt Elementary and then principal at Dry Creek Elementary in 2019. Michelle has been in her current role as assistant superintendent since 2020. Michelle’s educational journey began at Pierce Community College and then to the University of Puget Sound for her bachelor’s degree and Masters in Teaching. Later she went on to City University to earn her principal certification and her superintendent certification. She and her husband of 31 years, Dave, are the proud parents of four children (Aaron, Summer, Emma, and Jacob)
Camilla Rico
Director of Community Education & Campus Enterprises | Peninsula College
Camilla Rico brings nearly two decades of higher education leadership experience from roles at Pacific Lutheran University and Peninsula College, specializing in the development and restructuring of programs for optimal performance. Passionate about making a positive impact, Camilla explores new challenges, contributing to the evolving higher education landscape. Before academia, she held various roles at a Seattle art gallery, including Assistant Art Director. Outside of work, Camilla finds joy in nature, teaches Norwegian, and volunteers, reflecting her commitment to personal growth, community engagement, and a balanced lifestyle.
Heather Stephens
Volunteer and Youth Coordinator | Olympic National Park
Heather earned her Natural Resource Management degree and a minor degree in Woman’s Studies from the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point. She started her federal career with the USFS and then moved to the NPS and the Olympic Peninsula in 2000-2003. Heather has worked in many National Park locations as a seasonal forestry tech, ranger, dispatcher and on special teams. In 2005 Heather returned to Olympic National Park as a permanent Park Ranger on the west end of the Olympic Peninsula and transitioned to the Volunteer & Youth Coordinator in 2011. She supports programs that align with the parks priorities of engaging the local volunteer work force and providing service-learning opportunities to youth. In her free time, she loves to garden, chase her dogs, and watch her daughter grow up.
Leah Santasiero
Volunteer and Youth Program Assistant | Olympic National Park
Leah is the Volunteer and Youth Program Assistant at Olympic National Park. She previously worked at Sequoia and Kings Canyon, and Joshua Tree National Parks. She has a master’s in Great Lakes Ecosystem Science from SUNY Buffalo State University. Leah is committed to fostering meaningful connections between people and nature, reflecting her belief in the importance of stewardship. In her role, she actively contributes to the development and implementation of programs that educate and empower volunteers about the natural world.
